Dr Daniel McKay obtained his medical degree at the University of Melbourne with honours in 2002. He trained in ophthalmology with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) & was awarded the RANZCO Undergraduate and Ophthalmic Pathology Medals. Dr McKay undertook additional fellowship training in cataract surgery & medical retina (Monash Health) and ocular oncology (Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital & Royal Liverpool University Hospital, United Kingdom).

He holds public appointments with:

• Monash Health (cataract, oculoplastics) & RVEEH (ocular oncology, general ophthalmology)

• He is RANZCO Chair of the Ocular Oncology Special Interest Group

• Chief Examiner in Ophthalmic Pathology & Section Editor in Ocular Oncology for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology

• Dr McKay is also a consultant histopathologist (Eastern Health, Histolab).
